Dear Blog followers,

who are you and where are you? Other than a few people we are not getting many comments at the moment. We have no idea who is acually reading our blogs so thought it would be a good idea to ask for your help. When you read this please, please, please leave us comment even if it only says hi or something similar! That way the blog police (a.k.a US!!) will get to know who is reading our blog. We are spending hours in internet cafes writing great literary works on the blogs and we'd love to know you are reading this!! Thank you guys.

So what have we been upto since we last blogged? We have just come back from a couple of days in the rainy rainforest, where it.......rained! But we are British so we cope with the rain very well! And at least it was lovely and warm. We went to the Daintree National Park which is one of the only places where the rainforest meets the beach. We couldn't swim in the sea because of the box jelly fish but instead God provides us with swimming holes. These are fresh water pools along creeks (rivers) and as long as you are enough upstream you are not in danger of being eaten by a croc!

Speaking of those lovely friendly creatures we saw some on a river cruise. Thankfully we were in a boat and they weren't. They were quite hard to find, tending to stay under water or on the banks a little hidden away. But we saw a couple of them thanks to the eagle eyes of our boat guide.

We stayed in a lovely hostel in the rainforest. We were dropped off there along with a guy who was on our bus. As we all lined up at reception the owner produced a key for room 42 for Penny, the same for Linda who then joked "of course he'll not have number 42 will he". But he did much to our surprise and probably his too. It turns out they do mixed dorms over here. Another girl came along later so we had a cosy room for 4. It worked well especially as Olaf (a Norwegian guy) bought a bottle of red wine and shared it with us. We all went out for grub later and had the most amazing Baramundi fish dish.

We did a bit more walking today whilst trying to avoid the HEAVY rain. Thankfully we were not in this area this time last year when a cyclone ripped through and destroyed a lot of stuff.

We will be around Cairns for the next few days and we'll let you know our plans when we do! Don't forget, please leave us a comment.

Have a nice day cobbers, Linda and Penny xxx

Hi Linda and Penny

I left a comment last week as well as today but it does not seem to be on the site, not sure if there is a problem with it?

Anyway, hope you are still having a great time and not having any more problems with your foot.

Take care

This is my fourth go at leaving a comment - for some reason they are not getting to the site, they're not rude honest! When I get more time I will e-mail, things just a bit mad at the mo.
Good to hear of your adventures
Much love
Kim

Cracked it! If you are having trouble leaving comments, preview it first. Seems to work,

Greetings from Minnesota USA, where I check your blog at least every other day. Our atlas has been put to good use following your travels. Can you believe you are already 6 weeks onto a trip you anticipated for so long? Other than the occasional "English-ism" (cobber?)that I don't know, I love reading about your experiences.
Travel On!
Kris

Hello Penny!
You will be relieved to know that we haven't quite forgotten about you yet!!! The office map is up to date, with you firmly pinned to Cairns, and Sue H in the Caribbean Sea. We all really enjoy reading about your travels. Sue B does a printout for us all to read. Your trip sounds wonderful, apart from the box jellyfish, crocs, cyclone etc.
What can I tell you about home without mentioning the W word? Ah yes, On TV last night there was a lady from the rabbit orphanage, pleading with people to adopt a bunny for Easter. There were some very cute ones with fringes. Would you like me to reserve one for you?

Hi Penny,

I have left messages before. It's freezing here - winter has arrived again (and to think the clocks go forward this weekend) though the sun is shining and the bunnies are frolicing through the daffodils here at Freshfields. Helen's rabbit has gone to bunny heaven. Boo hoo.

AB is sat at Helen's desks so we've just read through your blogs. Glad you're getting a share of the rain as we've had more than enough recently. The shops are full of Easter chocolates and I'm finding it difficult to abstain. I'm glad you're not around because I know you would lead me into temptation!
Everyone at Freshfields sends their love. Love Suex

Seems ages since I looked at your blog - where does the time go - and now I do not have time to read it all. I feel chastened by your comments on the lack of comments. But it will be a great record for the future too. The pics are great.
Life is good but busy. Stu is now installed as our Commercial Manager and is getting used to our funny ways. He and the old lags went to Woolhope last weekend. The mind boggles.
The expedition sounds wonderful and no doubt you are learning lots too. I keep praying. The Lord is good.
God bless
Andy

Hi Penny

Still reading and still enjoying your blog! Hail and snow storms here, very cold, as opposed to sunshine and warm last week! Freedom day on Sunday 25th - Stop the Traffik! Exciting stuff happening particularly in the campaign against slavery in the cocoa industry - has made even me rethink my choice of chocolate.
Enjoying the photos too - wouldn't have braved a monkey on my head myself Linda (how are the fleas!!)
love and lots of it - Rachel
